A yearly plan only saves money if you are sure you will use it for 12 months. AI plans change often, and today Claude has four personal tiers, Google three paid ones and OpenAI three levels of Pro alone. If you are still deciding between tools, pay monthly for the first two or three months and switch to yearly once you know which one you open every day.
Which AI subscription is cheapest for what you need?
For plain chat, the cheapest option is often no subscription at all. ChatGPT's free plan includes unlimited everyday text chats, and our guide to free AI models covers what every free plan really includes. If you need more than free, Google AI Plus at $4.99 is the lowest-priced paid plan here, and Microsoft 365 Personal at $9.99 is good value if you also want Office and 1 TB of storage.
Around the $20 mark the price differences mostly disappear and the choice comes down to what each tool does best. Our page on cheaper alternatives to ChatGPT Plus lays out what you give up with each one, and ChatGPT alternatives matches each tool to a type of work.
Where AI4Chat's price fits
AI4Chat Unlimited works differently from the plans above: it bundles a chat assistant with a photo editor, an image generator, text to speech, music and a humanizer under one subscription. It starts with a 7-day free trial, and the price is set by country, so we don't print one number here. The pricing page shows yours before you pay.
How we collected these prices
On 7 November 2026 we opened each provider's own pricing page, plus OpenAI's help articles where the pricing page loads prices only at checkout. We copied the list price for each personal plan. We left out business and team plans, and any price we could not read on an official page, rather than take it from a third-party site. Prices change often, so check the provider's page before you buy.
